Aged Care you can believe in

Carinya House Nursing Home is a living community for 60 residents who require high care or low care residential aged care services. Qualified nursing staff are available 24 hours a day providing a safe and secure environment. The home offers medical/rehabilitative care, restorative care, palliative care and dementia care.

Through diversional therapy programs, residents participate in exercises, games, discussions and fellowship activities. Our research shows that quality of life is not only about receiving the right kind of care but is also about involvement and autonomy.

Our person-centred approach is to provide assistance that promotes and supports independence.

Residents live in single rooms with ensuite bathrooms and share community rooms for planned daily activities, socials and dining. Meals are prepared freshly on site based on individual dietary needs.

The living spaces include wide halls, lounges, reminiscence centres and areas of interest.

Carinya House has been designed with the latest innovative systems and environmentally friendly features. The high ceilings, air-conditioned areas and beautiful gardens create a peaceful living space for our residents to enjoy.

We have dining rooms in each of our three living areas, activity and television rooms, a chapel, beautician and hair salon, library and outdoor gardens. All bedrooms are equipped with ensuite facilities, electric beds, televisions, built in wardrobes and some of our suites look out to sunny, private and leafy courtyards. The rooms and common areas are light filled, with an abundance of fresh air.

The Carinya lifestyle is ideal for those who require support with daily living, but still like their own space.

Fees & Payment Options

We understand that relocating to a residential aged care facility can be hard decision, so it is important to understand the costs and fees associated with care.

Basic Daily Fees

This is a daily fee paid by all residents and is applicable from the date of entry. The Basic Daily Fee is a contribution towards the care, meals and services they may receive.

Means Tested Care Fee

This fee is a Government assessable fee paid by some residents, as determined through a means assessment. It is an ongoing fee towards the cost of your personal and clinical care.

Accommodation Options and Payment

Residents can choose to pay for their accommodation by a lump sum Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) or equivalent Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP), or a combination of both where residents can select the combination percentages of how much RAD and DAP to pay.
